Cambodia is a beautiful country with two main cities: the capital, Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.
National Museum in Phnom Penh, a bustling city with fine colonial architecture, is the best place to see examples of Khmer sculpture. Siem Reap is primarily the base from which to explore the majestic temples of Angkor and Angkorian-era architecture. In 1992, Angkor Wat was declared as a World Heritage Site by Unesco.

Passport & Visa
Who needs a Cambodian visa?
A foreign national wishing to enter Cambodia must obtain a visa if he/she is NOT a citizen of one of these eligible visa exempt countries: Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Singapore, Philippines and Vietnam.
Visas can be obtained from the Cambodian Embassy or Consulate Abroad. Visas on arrival are also available at international airports including all six international border crossings with Thailand, some international border crossings with Vietnam, and major crossings with Laos.
Visa fees for tourists are currently $ 30 (subject to change of cost) and fees for business travelers are $ 35 (subject to change of cost). The visa extension is available at the Immigration Department in Phnom Penh. For Cambodians living abroad, they get a free visa (Visa K).
Visa on arrival can be obtained at all land borders and at international airports. It is very easy, no need for the invitation letter. You had better follow these steps:
• Prepare 2 photos which are at the same size as the one on the passport (4 * 6 cm).
• Prepare around 30 USD in cash for stamp fees.
• Review your passport to ensure validity for at least six months
The national currency of Cambodia is called RIEL. The letters written before the figure of an amount is "KHR". The U.S. Dollar is accepted by everyone and everywhere and also referred to be the main currency used in Cambodia .
Cambodian Riels are used only as small change at a rate of around 4000 Riels/US$1.
ATMs are available in Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville and Siem Reap and in some other major towns. . Even if the exchange rate in ATMs is better than in banks and foreign exchange service, the bank levies its commission (1 to 2% per withdrawal) in addition to that of your bank, so do not withdraw small amounts.
Not all ATMs and banks accept foreign debit and credit cards. Check with your bank before you travel. Credit cards aren’t widely accepted but hotels and businesses in larger cities.
As in all Asian countries, an additional commission (around 3%) is levied. So keep the use of credit cards for special occasions.

Vaccinations & Medicines
Tourists should consult your family doctor or travel health clinic at least 4–6 weeks before your trip to allow time for your vaccines to take effect.
The following vaccines are highly recommended by the Pasteur Institute: Tetanus, Diphtheria, Typhoid, Poliomyelitis, Hepatitis B, Meningitis A, C, Hepatitis A, Malaria Treatment.
It is a good idea to take different drugs (ex: paracetamol, aspirin, allergy medications, diarrhoea tablets, indigestion medicine, etc.) on your travels to prevent you from the risk of minor illness.
Cambodia, which is warm all year round, has a tropical climate  and two distinct seasons: the rainy season and the dry season.
The rainy season in Cambodia usually lasts from May to October with the most precipitation in the months of September and October.
The temperature ranges from 32 to 35 degrees C. Visitors are not recommend to visit Cambodia in this period of time( especially from mid-July to September) because of the unpleasant atmosphere.
The dry season usually runs from November to the end of April, during which it is rarely rainy and scorching hot, especially in December and January. The maximum temperature recorded is 35oC. Hence, it is believed that the peak time for tourism in Cambodia is the dry season.
Recently, although the crime rate has been declining thanks to the safe and security policies are implemented effectively, many bag-snatchings and break-ins are actually occurring,  especially in great occasions such as Khmer New Year and Water festival . Therefore, you should be vigilant at all times, especially when walking alone.
Remember to take sensible precautions to protect yourself and your belongings.

His official language is Khmer. Currently, English is often spoken by young people in restaurants, hotels and tourist sites.
The voltage in Cambodia is 220V. Catches in Cambodia are of French or American type. So, you do not need an adapter or a voltage transformer.

If your phone is unlocked, you can buy a local SIM card on arrival. There are several cell operators, but  Smart and Cellcard operators are more common than the others due to the best networks and the Internet 3G or 4G connection.
Most hotels, restaurants and bars offer free wifi, you can use it with a smartphone.
